WWITV is a web site that basically finds local streaming news, business, sports, weather, government, etc web sites and creates a easily navigable directory to browse.
To start, click on your country on the left and scroll down to your state. You’ll see a listing of all the local news channels and their web streams. If there is not a live stream of the news from that local station, clicking on the link will bring you to their web site where you can play videos of the current top stories.
Clicking on a live stream will bring up the video in Windows Media Player and bring up the web site automatically in your default browser. However, local news is just one aspect of the site; you can also watch kids channels, movies channels, online webcams around the world, etc.

www.viewmy.tv has thousands of channels from the UK and across the globe and even allows users to upload their own TV channels. All this is completely free and is great for me when I am at work or wherever I have a broadband connection.
